The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), Jaipur has released the official Phase-II ("हिन्दी एवं अंग्रेजी में टंकण गति एवं दक्षता परीक्षण") notification for the Clerk Grade-II / Junior Assistant Joint Direct Recruitment Exam 2026. The online computer-based test is scheduled from 21.12.2026 to 24.12.2026, 26.12.2026, 28.12.2026, and 29.12.2026.

2. New Official Speed Test Marks Calculation Formula
English Speed Test (500-Word Paragraph): You are given a 500-word passage for 10 minutes. Each completely correct word awards 0.05 Marks ($500 \times 0.05 = 25\text{ Marks}$). Typing 180 correct words yields the minimum qualifying 9.0 marks.
Hindi Speed Test (400-Word Paragraph in DevLys 010): You are given a 400-word passage in DevLys 010 font for 10 minutes. Each completely correct word awards 0.0625 Marks ($400 \times 0.0625 = 25\text{ Marks}$). Typing 144 correct words yields the minimum qualifying 9.0 marks.
⚠️ Crucial Backspace Rule (Official Instruction #10): During the Typing Speed Test, if you type a word incorrectly, you can use the Backspace key ONLY until you press the Spacebar or Enter key for the next word. Once Spacebar or Enter is pressed, Backspace stops working for previous words!
3. Errors That Receive Zero Marks in RSSB Evaluation
Invisible Duplicate Matras in Hindi: Repeating a matra key (such as typing dsssssoy instead of dsoy for "केवल") looks normal on screen but is marked incorrect (0 marks) by the RSSB computer evaluator.
Improper Character Construction: Constructing characters using half-letters (such as typing Ik instead of pressing i for "प") is marked incorrect.
No Alt or Ctrl Keys Allowed: Using Alt or Ctrl key combinations or shortcut keys is strictly prohibited during the exam.
Punctuation, Spacing & Case Mistakes: Omitting words, repeating words/lines, wrong punctuation, extra spaces, or wrong Capital/Small letters in English receive zero marks for that word.
4. Efficiency Test Update: MS Word 2013 (Hindi) & MS Excel 2013 (English)
Hindi Efficiency (MS Word 2013 - 15 Questions, 10 Mins): Covers Paragraph formatting, Paging, Header/Footer, Font, Background, Table Border, Spacing, Word Replace, and Alignment on pre-loaded text.
English Efficiency (MS Excel 2013 - 15 Questions, 10 Mins): Covers Cell Formatting, Alignment, Table Borders, Data/Number Calculations, and Formula tasks on pre-loaded data.
Disabled Keys in Efficiency Test: Cut-Copy-Paste, Right Mouse Click, Select All, and all Function Keys (F1–F12) are disabled. However, Ctrl+Z (Undo) and Backspace work in the Efficiency Test. Never delete the default paragraph/table or apply extra unasked formatting.
